Job Details

We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Logistics Supervisor to join our thriving eCommerce team in the Engineering industry. This role is designed for a skilled professional who is passionate about operations management, shipping, freight, and materials. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our warehouse operations, from receiving to shipping. You will play a critical role in the success of our eCommerce business, ensuring that all logistical aspects run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing the end-to-end logistics operations, including receiving, warehousing, shipping, and distribution.
2. Managing and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
3. Implementing and maintaining warehouse management systems to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
4. Ensuring all shipments comply with national and international laws and regulations.
5. Overseeing freight and transportation arrangements, ensuring goods are delivered on time and in excellent condition.
6. Coordinating with other departments to forecast future capacity needs.
7. Reviewing and preparing workflow reports, KPIs, and other relevant documentation.
8. Implementing health and safety procedures in the warehouse, ensuring compliance among staff.
9. Training, supervising, and evaluating staff performance, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Logistics Supervisor role should have:

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in the eCommerce or Engineering industry.
2. Proven experience in warehouse management, shipping, receiving, freight, and operations management.
3. Strong knowledge of vendor management and supply chain procedures.
4. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
5. Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
6. Proficiency in warehouse management systems and databases.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
