Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ educational success as a school-based Occupational Therapist. Two full-time roles are available for experienced OTs who are dedicated to fostering independence and participation for diverse learners. Both assignments begin as soon as possible, with one covering a leave through October 2026 and the other running until mid-December 2026, with potential for extension. With a full-time schedule, you will play a vital role within multidisciplinary school teams, making a meaningful impact every day.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active OSPI certification/licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs
- Familiarity with special education evaluations and procedural compliance
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students
- Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring individualized supports and accommodations
- Participate actively in special education evaluations and IEP meetings
- Develop and deliver effective OT services and student-centered interventions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraeducators, families, and school-based teams
- Modify materials, equipment, and classroom activities to address specific student needs
- Monitor student progress using data, updating goals and strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation, evaluation reports, and compliance records
- Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development to stay current in the field
