Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting across a variety of acuity levels
• Perform and assist with procedures including conscious sedation, intubations, sepsis management, stroke care (TPA administration), and chest pain/heart alert protocols
• Conduct behavioral health watch observations in accordance with unit policy
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using the Meditech electronic health records system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) designation
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a high-acuity environment
