Job Description:

MySQL, PostgreSQL Database Administrator

L1, L2 proficiency in MySQL 5.7, 8.0, and MariaDB

Strong experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing

Database administration, backup, and recovery (Percona Xtrabackup, MySQL Enterprise Backup, mysqldump, binlog-based recovery)

High Availability & Disaster Recovery (Replication, Clustering, Galera Cluster, MySQL Group Replication, ProxySQL)

Strong understanding of MySQL security (User Privileges, TDE, Data Masking, GDPR, HIPAA compliance)

Experience in automating database administration using Bash, Python, or Ansible

Cloud database experience (AWS RDS for MySQL, Aurora, Azure Database for MySQL, Google Cloud SQL)

Expertise in database monitoring and logging tools (Percona Monitoring and Management, MySQL Enterprise Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana)

Deep understanding of MySQL storage engines (InnoDB, MyISAM, TokuDB, RocksDB)

Knowledge of MySQL licensing models and cost optimization strategies
