Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position requires a commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding effectively to changes in their status.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and other health-related topics.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following all safety procedures and protocols.
• Be willing to float to other units and hospitals as necessary.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a compact state.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred, or 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license with at least 1 year in the specialty field.
• Current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to pass a Dysrhythmia Basic exam within two attempts during onboarding process.

Work Schedule

The position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays as needed. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6.

Additional Information

• The facility allows for a maximum of four shifts to be canceled per contract without penalty.
• Orientation includes 16 hours of non-billable training, with completion required prior to starting direct patient care.
• All traveling nurses must be fully committed and available to adhere to the outlined schedule and requirements.
