POSITION SUMMARY

Under direction supervision of the EVS Shift Supervisor, contributes to the efficient daily operation of Environmental Service activities by providing cleaning services in assigned areas and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel. Maintains professionalism in all interactions with internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sweeps, mops, and scrubs floors.
• Dusts and polishes furniture.
• Cleans customer and gaming areas and device surfaces.
• Washes windows, walls, and mirrors.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and deodorizes restrooms; replaces soap and paper products.
• Empties and cleans waste receptables and ashtrays; disposes of trash appropriately.
• Cleans vents and light fixtures.
• Notifies supervisor of potential problems or repair needs.
• Assists with moving and unloading supplies, furniture, and equipment.
• Sets up and tears down meeting facilities as needed.
• Delivers lost and found items to Security.
• Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
• Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One (1) year of housekeeping, custodial, or related experience.
• A combination of relevant education and related work experience may be considered.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background screening / investigation according to the established requirements below.
• Tribal and Native American preference shall apply to all positions.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS

• Must be able to submit supporting documentation of education and training to support qualifications.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in good stating according to licensing rules and regulations.
• Personal reference check and employment verification.
• Conducts Federal, State, and tribal criminal history in accordance with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Gaming Commission Regulation, Part 400.7, Background Investigations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, touch, or grasp; reach with hands or arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to sit; use a computer and cellphone/telephone; climb or balance; and lift up to 100 pounds. The employee may occasionally be exposed to hazardous materials; dust, fumes, airborne particles, allergens, and/or second-hand smoke; and hostile, offensive, and / or violent individuals. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work occasionally takes place near hazardous / moving equipment and / or machinery and requires the use of protective clothing, equipment, devices, and / or materials.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is generally performed in an office and/or casino setting with a moderate and occasionally high noise level. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common. Travel is required for training, meetings, conferences, presentations, and other events.
