New England Truss Designer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Truss Designer to join our team in the Boston, MA area. As a Truss Designer, you will play a pivotal role in our multifamily construction projects, contributing to the design and engineering of truss systems for residential buildings. Responsibilities: Utilize specialized software to design truss systems based on project specifications and engineering standards. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure accurate and efficient truss designs. Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop comprehensive truss layouts. Perform structural calculations and analysis to verify the integrity and performance of truss designs. Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams to facilitate the fabrication of truss components. Review and analyze project requirements, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost-efficiency. Maintain thorough documentation of truss designs and revisions throughout the project lifecycle. Stay current with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to truss design and construction. Qualifications: Prefer a degree in CAD, Architectural, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in truss design, preferably in the multifamily residential construction sector. Proficiency in truss design software such as MiTek or Alpine is required. Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and building codes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in design work. Experience with AutoCAD or other drafting software is a plus. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the Boston, MA area is advantageous.
