- Repair or replace defective components using compatible, approved parts and accepted industry practices, and verify completed repairs through appropriate functional testing before returning systems to normal operation.
- Inspect and test fire alarm systems and, when properly qualified and assigned, fire suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers in accordance with applicable NFPA standards, adopted codes, contract requirements, and company procedures.
- Coordinate system testing by placing accounts on test and communicating with monitoring centers, customer representatives, and responding authorities as required; verify all devices, circuits, notification appliances, releasing functions, and system interfaces are restored to proper operating condition.
- Accurately identify, document, and communicate system deficiencies, impairments, inaccessible devices, incomplete work, and items not tested, including required parts, access needs, quantities, locations, and recommended corrective action.
