Commercial Electrician: Installations & Maintenance

The Electrician safely performs troubleshooting, maintenance, tests, repairs and electrical installations in large commercial settings. Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment on-site Perform electrical installations of a commercial nature Plan layout and installation of electrical equipment, conduit, wiring and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes Install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures or wiring in floors, walls and ceilings Install, inspect and test electrical systems Perform installations which include but are not limited to panel boards, conduits, lay-in fixtures, wall packs, exit signs, light fixtures, disconnects, breakers, power distribution equipment and power supply wiring Refer to labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions to accurately perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards Report work orders, scheduled jobs and work progress to a foreperson Ensure code compliance through proper installation of electrical components Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older One (1) year of experience as an electrician required; on the job training provided. Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license Must possess apprentice electrician's license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed. Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) years of experience as an electrician is preferred. Prior experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
