SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32)

Supply Management Specialist Duties: As a Supply Management Specialist, GS-2003-11, you will formulate and implement comprehensive logistics support plans, policies, and operations based on data and requirements obtained from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) staff, units, USPFO, NGB, and other organizations. You will develop, coordinate, and implement policies, procedures, and requirements for unit deployment, inter-service support agreements as approved by the USPFO, emergency support for civil authorities, training exercises support, and environmental compliance. You will obtain data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness; develop, staff, and implement logistics plans for material fielding, mission support, and mobilization. You will receive input from the Surface Maintenance Manager (SMM) regarding the Mission Support Plans to support the material fielding plan; serve as the Information Systems/Automation Security Officer, Physical Security Officer, and Safety Officer for the directorate, providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program; update the Internal Management Control (IMC) Plan projecting five years into the future for all DCSLOG/G4 branches or activities; and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Military Grades: Warrant Officer (CW1 to CW3) or Officer (2LT to MAJ). Minimum Requirements: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. Specialized Experience : Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge of the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience : Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
