Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant – salary range up to $100K plus Bonus , based on experience. This is a direct hire opportunity; no temp-to-hire process. If selected, DAY ONE you are the company’s employee. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing accounting operations for a multi-entity organization, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while leading month-end close activities, preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation along with experience working in a complex, multi-entity environment. CPA credentials are highly preferred . Experience within warehousing, distribution, commercial real estate, property management, or another related industry would be valuable, particularly for candidates who have worked with contracts, leases, or multi-location operations. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedules Prepare monthly financial statements, property-level financial reports, and variance analyses Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities Review tenant billing, rent rolls, security deposit accounting, and lease administration activities Prepare and review Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations Ensure accurate allocation of expenses across multiple properties and entities Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Support year-end audit and tax preparation while serving as the accounting liaison for external auditors Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial reporting processes Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiencies, workflow automation, and reporting accuracy Supervise and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable personnel Collaborate with leadership, operations, and property management teams Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close Experience managing multiple entities and intercompany transactions Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines Preferred Qualifications: Commercial real estate, property management, or property accounting experience strongly preferred CPA credentials are strongly preferred Experience with CAM reconciliations, tenant accounting, rent rolls, lease administration, and property-level financial reporting Experience with ERP/accounting software and property management systems Previous experience supervising accounting staff What's in it for you?
