Aligned around a shared purpose, our $3.9B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism.Responsibilities:Must be able to perform all duties associated with aircraft sheet metal support on F-18 Naval Type Model Series aircraft.Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate to complex difficulty, including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatic, fuel systems and mechanical components.Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and discrepancies.Applies required expertise in restoring aircraft component condition and or operation,Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, Local Engineering Instructions, and work orders in manufacturing aircraft sheet metal structures.Manufactures and installs new parts and reinforcing, patching, and replacing defective parts, applies accurate riveting techniques for proper spacing, fit, durability, structural soundness, and appearance.Administration duties:Comply with all required trainings and other administrative functions required by the company and the costumer.Assist in maintaining NAMP Programs, ensure contract artisans follows Ground Operating Procedures, and ensure personnel comply with safety procedures.Qualifications:Minimum QualificationsEducation/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum experience or military experience as aircraft airframes or sheet metal mechanic.Other Requirements:This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level security clearance.U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systemMust possess a valid U.S. drivers licenseMust be able to pass a NACI which could include a credit check.We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.Skills & Technology Used:Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving:Possesses both analytical and interpersonal skills.Good problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills/techniques.Working knowledge with computerWorking knowledge with Advance Skill Management (ASM) or willing to learn the functions.To be able to perform research, a working knowledge with the following is preferred: electronic publications like Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM), knowledge in navigating NATEC website to access Technical Publications, service bulletins, technical publications, blueprints, IPB (Illustrated Parts Breakdown), MIM (Maintenance Instruction), LES (Local Engineering Specifications), LPS (Local Process Specifications) and TEI (Temporary Engineering Instructions).Business Partner/Effective Communicator:English language skills to communicate with costumers.Strong communicator must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and orally.Ability to train others.Customer service oriented, detail focused, pro-active behavior, multi-task capability.Software:Microsoft Office SuiteExcelOutlookSharePointPersonal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.What We Bring:At V2X we strive to be market competitive in our total reward offerings.The successful candidate's starting pay will be based on the current rate agreed in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for this site.The following salary range is intended to display the current per hour rate for this job.
