Entry-Level Staff Accountant

Quality Life Services is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Controller to prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, and support audits and compliance to ensure accurate reporting across our multi-entity healthcare organization.

Quality Life Services operates 10 skilled nursing facilities, as well as a Family Home Health and Hospice, Quality Medical Associates, Quality Pharmacy, and Quality Staffing. Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure accurate general ledger activity.

• Reconcile complex balance sheet accounts, including intercompany transactions, prepaid accounts, fixed assets, and payroll-related accounts.

• Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes and ensure timely completion of financial statements.

• Generate, analyze, and present financial reports to management, identifying variances and trends.

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate data and insights.

• Assist with annual audits, cost reports, tax filings, and other external reporting requirements.

• Monitor compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and healthcare regulatory guidelines.

• Collaborate with operations, payroll, HR, and billing teams to ensure alignment of financial data across multiple service lines.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial workflows and systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 2-4 years of accounting experience (healthcare or multi-entity environment preferred).
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Great Plains, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
