Step into a rewarding contract role delivering specialized educational support as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. This fully virtual opportunity focuses on working with a high school student who is deaf or hard of hearing, requiring minimal but impactful instruction. Services are scheduled for 160 minutes per year, provided in eight sessions of 20 minutes each. You will play a pivotal role in this student’s academic journey, offering expertise and personalized strategies to foster growth and success from a remote setting.

Qualifications:

• Valid Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification
• DHH Licensure required for Tennessee
• Experience providing virtual instruction or demonstrated competency in digital learning platforms
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support high school students
• Organized and self-motivated, with attention to individual education needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized virtual instructional services in accordance with the established schedule
• Develop and implement lesson plans based on student’s unique learning requirements and goals
• Collaborate with parents, other educators, and service providers to coordinate support
• Maintain detailed documentation of services rendered and progress observed
• Utilize best practices in remote education and keep abreast of latest interventions for deaf and hard of hearing students
