Evaluates patient's response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IV's, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records. Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner. Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.Provide patient/family education through assessment of patient/family learning readiness, needs, and ability. Provide teaching and evaluate effectiveness of teaching.We are offering a $20,000 Sign on bonus in addition up to $10,000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.Schedule: 40hrs/ week-variable Shift starts and Day of week per volume and unit needs. TBD During interviews with Unit manager.Call Rotation: This position requires a mandatory on-call commitment:Weeknights: 1-2 shifts per week (Monday–Friday), 1700–0700 (14 hours).Weekends: Every 4th weekend (Saturday–Sunday), 0700–0700 (24 hours).Holidays: 2 holidays per year (24-hour shifts).Job RequirementsAssociates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsementRN License in state of employmentPhysical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantlyBachelors Degree in NursingOne (1) year experienceDirect GI/Endoscopy experience highly preferredWhere You'll WorkSt. Anthony North Hospital is seeking a dedicated and flexible Registered Nurse to join our GI Team. As a member of our team, you will provide comprehensive perioperative care within a dynamic department that supports Surgery, the GI Lab, and the Pain Clinic. Our facility features 13 pre-op rooms, 19 PACU bays, 2 GI/Endoscopy rooms, 1 Bronchoscopy room, 1 pain procedure room, and 10 OR procedure rooms. We maintain a high-volume daily average of approximately 40 surgical cases, 15 GI procedures, 1-3 Bronchoscopies, and 30 pain procedures.For more than 50 years, St. Anthony North Hospital has delivered optimal health care to the communities of Westminster, Erie, Brighton, Broomfield, Northglenn and Thornton.
