Position Title:Part-time Restaurant Floor Manager (Breakfast) Supervisor: Farm Food and Beverage Services Manager Employee Status:Seasonal, Part-time hours Location: On-site (99 Inn Road, Shelburne, VT 05482) Start & End Date:Now - October 22, 2026 Pay Rate:$25 - $28/hour (Staff housing: Please inquire. There are very limited options available for seasonal positions.) Work Schedule: 7 day operation; Typical schedule is 6:30AM - 2:00PM. Weekends and holidays are required. Who We’re Looking for The seasonal Restaurant Floor Manager is passionate about working for a restaurant that is an integral part of the Farm’s mission by providing a space where the community can come together to enjoy delicious and thoughtfully sourced meals. The restaurant is open 7 days/week from May 8 - October 20th; Schedule is 6:30 am - 2:00 pm (breakfast shift). Where you will live & work No additional housing expenses. Private bedroom in shared house (staff only, no family members or pets permitted). Living alongside other senior members of culinary team working at the restaurant. Lake access and walking trails walking distance from the historic Inn and Restaurant where you will be working. 5-15 minute drive to many grocery stores. And a 10 - 20 minute drive to hiking, mountain biking, rivers, and many other outdoor activities. What You’ll Do Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of dedicated staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Lead by example and work side by side with your teams. Facilitate ongoing training, are clear with your directions, receptive and open to feedback, and are patient as your team learns the ropes. Guest Experience: Ensure exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all guests. When difficulties arise you are able to find creative solutions. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the dining experience, incorporating feedback from guests and staff. Operational Excellence & Sustainability Practices: Oversee daily operations of the dining room, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with maintenance of the POS system, updating of all menu items, generating & maintenance of daily reports and tip-pool. Support with postseason breakdown of pantry/dining room. Lead the staff and promote continual sustainable dining room practices including waste reduction, compost and recycling, water-saving practices and reducing energy consumption. Core Qualifications Proven experience in a leadership role, ideally within the hospitality field, dining or restaurant setting, but open to various leadership experiences. Strong commitment to sustainability, where it intersects with the dining experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Inventory management experience Experience with a Point of Sales system and online reservation systems. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
