Production Mig WelderWe are seeking a skilled Production Mig Welder to join a growing team. This role involves welding, repairing, and modifying metal racks, along with supporting general production operations. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.1st Shift: 6:00am-4:30pm2nd Shift: 4:30pm-3:00amKey ResponsibilitiesPerform Mig weldingRepair and modify metal racks to meet specificationsRead and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate weld assembliesSet up and operate Mig welding equipment (manual and automatic)Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts into position for final weldingInspect finished welds and perform spot repairs as neededEvaluate returned materials and assist with repair/modification assessmentsAccurately record materials used, quantities, and labor timeOperate a forklift to safely transport materialsFollow all safety procedures and standard operating guidelinesTravel occasionally to job sites for on-site workPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1 year of welding experience (required)1–3 years of related experience preferredAbility to read and understand blueprints and technical instructionsBasic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)Strong attention to detail and qualityAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionGood communication skills for team and customer interactionPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and handle heavy materialsStrong physical stamina and manual dexterityComfortable working with large equipment and metal componentsEqual Opportunity Employer: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
