Provides strategies to students and staff members to help establish and meet the child's goals in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Behavior Plan. Key Qualifications: Appropriate licensure as an Intervention Specialist Experience in designing and monitoring behavior plans Serve as a member of a child's IEP team Provide strategies and modeling to classroom teachers to help them work with students who have behaviors in class that interfere with academic progress Work with administrative team to provide professional development for staff on meeting the needs of students with behavior issues Keep and maintain records pertinent to performance/growth of students Communicate with parents and keep them informed of student progress Provide leadership as a member of the Behavior Support Team Identify community resources to help parents connect with services as needed Maintain confidentiality
