Paramedic (EMT-P)

Job Description The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports daily plasma center operations, managing donor eligibility, adverse events, laboratory test reviews, and donor communication. The role follows Plasma Collection Industry regulations, collaborates with Center Physician, and maintains EHS compliance under BioLife Medical Affairs guidance. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent management, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review. Monitor and evaluate donor reactions; follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing standing orders and coordinating transport to emergency care. Consult with Center Physician or Medical Affairs on medical findings, donor safety, and eligibility issues. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and assess need for occupational health evaluation; refer to EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations of local pandemic threats per EHS or Medical Affairs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (EMT‑Paramedic); CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of clinical or hospital experience. Compensation and Benefits U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $23.04 - $31.68.
