General Manager

Under the direction of the District Manager, the General Manager is responsible for attaining the sale and profit targets established for Buona Restaurant and Buona Catering Retail. Duties include achieving sales targets, recognizing all revenue areas and developing strategies to impact sales, enforcement and execution of the marketing plan, managing and controlling direct expenses, selection, retention, supervision, and training of all hourly employees, conducting quarterly reviews, adhering to established training programs, determining advancement or termination, developing employees into shift managers, conducting weekly meetings with Co-Managers to discuss opportunities, sales building, staffing levels, labor cost, food cost variance/efficiencies, cash short/over, building/equipment repair, enforcement of policies, procedures, and controls, evaluating systems and procedures and providing feedback to the District Manager, being phone accessible for all store emergencies, implementing and communicating advertising and marketing plan opportunities, and communicating human resource and training material opportunities to the District Manager. Reports directly to District Manager with weekly meetings and monthly group General Manager meetings.
