Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN license in Tennessee Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing Description: The position is for a registered nurse in a medical-surgical unit. The nurse will work night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. The contract duration is 13 weeks. The unit has 19 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. The patient population includes geriatric and adult patients. The unit may care for a small number of pediatric patients annually. All employees are expected to maintain a professional demeanor. A unit secretary and monitor tech will be stationed at the nurses' station. Staff may be required to float or be placed on call based on patient census. Floating to specialized areas may occur, including medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER, with specific task assignments. Working weekends is required, rotating every other weekend. There are additional responsibilities relevant to patient care and safety. Staff should adhere to the dress code, wearing approved scrubs. Print scrubs are not allowed. All clinical staff must meet compliance and regulatory requirements for their positions.
