Job Title: Administrative Support Assistant (Claims/Insurance)

Duration: Contract (5+ Months)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Tuesdays and/or Thursdays onsite)

Pay Rate: $22/hr on W2(without benefits) 

Shift Timings: 07:00 Am - 03:30 Pm

 

Job Description:

• This position provides high-level administrative support by independently completing complex administrative and technical tasks to support the Council's manager and work team.
  Position is to assist the claims department by distributing the work to the appropriate claims representative and other administrative duties as assigned.
• Required skills- Claims related background is helpful because we have work comp and liability claims. Ability to answer and direct phone calls, faxes, etc. Customer service skills essential.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and follow through
• Able to display independent judgment, initiative, and organization
• Able to perform under limited supervision, recognizing when guidance is needed
• Ability to be flexible and professional in a variety of work environments (peak workloads and stressful circumstances)
• Ability to interact and work with people including all levels of internal and external customers.
• Experience working and collaborating in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive environments.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Any of the following combinations of experience (providing complex administrative support in a medium-to-large organization) and completed education (degree field of study in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, or closely related field):
• HS diploma/GED with five (5) years of experience.
• Associate degree with three (3) years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree with one (1) year of experience.
