Employment Details

• Employment Type: Full-time, Temporary
• Pay Rate: $26-30.00 per hour
• Assignment Period: Immediate start through the end of March 2027
• Location: Livonia, Michigan / Fully Remote
• Language: Japanese proficiency is preferred but not required

The initial assignment is expected to continue through the end of March 2027, with the possibility of an extension or conversion to direct employment based on business needs and performance.

Position Summary


The Accounting Specialist will provide day-to-day accounting support, primarily focusing on accounts payable, payment preparation, expense processing, account reconciliation, accounts receivable collection, master-data maintenance, and data entry.


This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with basic accounting knowledge who can process routine transactions accurately and work effectively in a remote environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions and related documentation
• Prepare payment information and supporting documents for review and approval
• Review and process employee and business expenses
• Perform routine account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Enter and maintain accurate accounting and transaction data
• Create and update vendor master records
• Create and update customer master records
• Support accounts receivable collection activities and follow up on outstanding balances
• Maintain organized accounting records
• Provide additional accounting support as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred
• Candidates with relevant college-level accounting coursework will also be considered
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles is required
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to handle routine transaction processing and data-entry responsibilities efficiently
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with a remote supervisor and team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office applications is preferred
• Japanese-language proficiency is preferred but not required

Work Arrangement


The position may be performed fully remotely. Candidates located near Livonia, Michigan may also work from the company's Livonia office, where the direct supervisor is based.
