As a Service Writer, you'll be the main point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed throughout the repair process. This second shift position, from 3 - 11:30 pm Monday - Friday, requires someone who can effectively communicate with customers, technicians, and supervisors to keep repairs on track and customers informed.

Bonus Incentive for applicants that hold their CDL and/or are bilingual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers upon arrival, meticulously reviewing warranty details and open repair orders
• Clarify customer complaints regarding units, ensuring clear understanding and accurate documentation
• Efficiently open repair orders and maintain proactive communication with customers, keeping them abreast of necessary repairs and vehicle status updates
• Collaborate with supervisors to provide assistance with estimates when required, adhering to company standards and guidelines
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections alongside customers upon arrival, fostering transparency and trust
• Generate comprehensive documentation of all warranty information and recalls, staying abreast of the latest OEM recalls and campaigns
• Coordinate seamlessly with the next shift supervisor to facilitate a smooth transition of pending work, ensuring continuity and efficiency
• Adhere strictly to company policies regarding fund collection and vehicle release, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
• Attend mandatory training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge, contributing to personal and professional growth
• Execute additional duties as delegated by management, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting team objectives

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and vehicle repair information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer literacy
