Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as an onsite School Nurse in a dynamic elementary environment. This full-time position runs from ASAP through late May and offers a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of K–6 students each day. Work closely with certified nurse support and play a key role in managing the health needs of approximately 800 students.

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license required
• Prior experience or comfort working in a school setting preferred
• Confident in diabetes care, including management of a CGM and insulin pump
• Skilled in providing seizure care, as well as allergy and asthma management
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, communicate with children and staff, and maintain organized records

Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily nursing care to students in grades K–6, addressing a range of chronic and acute health needs
• Provide direct support for a diabetic student, including operation of insulin pump and CGM
• Develop and implement health plans for students with allergies, asthma, or seizure disorders
• Respond to medical emergencies and collaborate with certified nurse support
• Communicate regularly with staff and parents regarding student health plans and updates
• Maintain accurate health records and comply with district policies and privacy regulations
• Support wellness initiatives and promote healthy lifestyle habits within the school community

This assignment offers a predictable weekday schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. and Wednesdays from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
