Pharmacy Technician

What you need to know about this position:

Round-the-clock department servicing every area of patient care within the hospital with more than 45 dynamic workers consisting of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist to ensure that the right drug is in the right place at the right time for the right patient.
Duties encompass all aspects of the medication distribution system, including, but not limited to, procurement, preparation, delivery, returning, restocking, and quality assurance checks.
All technicians are nationally certified, or will obtain certification within one year of hire.
The base hourly rate for this position is $19.64. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
This position will require you to work a combination of shifts, both 7:00AM-3:30PM and 2:30PM-11:00PM, with a holiday and weekend rotation.

What is required for this position:

High School Diploma or GED required
Have an Indiana Pharmacy Technician License upon hire (or Indiana State Board of Pharmacy approved equivalent)
Have hospital pharmacy experience, including sterile compounding
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
The employee is occasionally required to sit and push or pull; lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
