BLS Required MS/Tele Required PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown preferred Required Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Feeding tube care and management, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, PCA, Substance Withdrawal, Surgical drains, Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Canula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac Patient Diagnoses: Acute respiratory failure, CHF, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, sepsis, pulmonary fibrosis, ILD Special Procedures/Unit Details: Manage Amiodarone drip. Day/Eve ratios are 5 to 1 (stretch 6-7). Night ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8 -10 if staff calls in). Rapid response team activation. 1 year of recent experience -We have PCT's on all units that do vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKG's and any sort of activity of daily living -We have an in-house phlebotomy team that does all peripheral lab draws nursing is responsible for PICC lines and central lines Special Equipment: BIPAP, CPAP, High Flow, Chronic Ventilators, trach, chest tubes Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N) They will try but not guaranteed Float Required: Yes - Will not practice outside of scope Years of Experience Required: 1 year First time travelers accepted Every other weekend required Call Required - Y as needed EPIC is preferred 1st time US travelers must have Epic experience Pending License accepted: (Y/N) No RTO Restrictions: Please keep RTO close to 1 week Locals accepted: (Y/N) No locals (75 miles) Scrubs: Navy blue/white Orientation: 4 hours. Modules prior to starting, 4 hour classroom with Educator, rest of the 12 hour shift is spent orienting on the unit.
