What You'll Do

• Provide patient-centered care for surgical oncology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastics patients.
• Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, antibiotics, and manage oncologic emergencies.
• Monitor patient conditions, perform assessments, and document care using EPIC or other electronic charting tools.
• Follow strict infection prevention protocols and implementing fall prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.
• Respond to emergencies with critical interventions and support patient comfort.
• Maintain adherence to policies supporting safe, evidence-based practices.

What You Need

• Valid Ohio RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2+ years' experience in acute care nursing with at least 1 year in PCU
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability

• Oncologic chemotherapy certification (ONS Chemo)
• Experience with EPIC or similar EHR systems

About the Assignment You will be assigned to a high-acuity mixed surgical-oncology and medical-surgical PCU unit caring for adult and geriatric patients. This busy surgical floor manages complex diagnoses including breast, thyroid, liver, pancreas, and colorectal cancers, as well as reconstructive procedures related to breast cancer and sarcoma. The unit emphasizes infection control and patient safety, with a supportive team committed to excellence in care delivery.
