Follows all safety protocol and looks for new solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or prevention measures.Quality Control· Quality checks solid surface materials parts prior fabrication to include condition, quantity, and measurements.· Quality checks equipment and tools to avoid damaging materials.· Quality checks fabricated materials prior to leaving the Department, utilizing the quality control checklist provided by LCCM.Ensure all parts are finished to LCCM standards prior to sending out.Solid Surface Fabrication· Able to read and follow shop drawings to fabricate solid surface materials accurately and efficiently.· Understands and follows the solid surface fabrication techniques for edge build ups, flat seams, and substrates. Applies correct sanding and polishing methods to obtain desire finish.· Ensure solid surface projects are completed to specifications before leaving department.· Able to support the Install Department with installing solid surface in the field.Experience & Qualifications· Background in construction or manufacturing required.· Knowledge of carpentry, fabrication and cabinetry required.· Certificate in Corian Fabrication preferred.· Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a tape measure are required.· Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.· Be able to work standing for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds and have full range of motion.· Knowledgeable and experienced with shop drawings.· Forklift Certification is required.· Must be able to work in areas exposed to paint, stain, glue fumes.
