Join Our Creative Team – New Orleans (Elmwood, LA)Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group is seeking temporary Builder/Maker support for our Elmwood, Louisiana production facility. This role is ideal for hands-on creatives who enjoy building immersive environments and can jump in to support active production projects.As part of our creative shop, you’ll assist in constructing scenic elements, props, and set pieces used across our portfolio of haunted attractions, immersive experiences, and live events. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where flexibility, craftsmanship, and reliability are key.Job Title: Shop Help (Temporary Support)Department: Creative ShopsEmployment Type: Temporary (Full-time and part-time hours may be available based on project needs)Position OverviewThe Shop Helper is a versatile team member who supports a wide range of duties in our production shop. You’ll float between tasks throughout the day—helping with light carpentry, painting, organizing, and general shop upkeep—to keep projects moving efficiently and safely.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with basic carpentry tasks and scenic construction under supervisionSupport scenic and general painting projects as directedPrepare, pack, crate, and move materials, props, and scenic elementsSafely lift, carry, and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) as neededMaintain shop cleanliness, including trash removal, sweeping, and general housekeepingHelp organize tools, materials, inventory, and work areas to support safe and efficient operationsFloat between teams and tasks based on project priorities and deadlinesFollow all safety procedures, shop rules, and supervisor directionQualificationsWillingness to learn new skills and take direction from multiple leadsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentGeneral experience with hand and power tools preferred (training available)Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodationReliable, punctual, and comfortable with changing work assignmentsPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detailMust be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United StatesThis is a temporary, non‑exempt, hourly position based in Elmwood, Louisiana. Employment is at‑will, and hours and assignment length may vary based on production and business needs.
