TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Wausau, Wisconsin, 54401!

Job Title

Registered Nurse - PACU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Onsite | Day Shift | Variable 4x10 shifts with start times of 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM | Every 5th weekend on call | Holiday rotation | One night of on-call per week for 4 out of every 6 weeks with a 30-minute response time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care in a 14-bay PACU unit with a 1:2 patient ratio, averaging 35 patients per day
• Care for patients following general, spine and neuro, GI, ENT, cardiac, peripheral vascular, and orthopedic proceduresStabilize ICU-level patients prior to transfer to the ICU
• Participate in on-call rotation including nights and weekends with a minimum 2-hour callback requirement
• Accurately document patient care using electronic charting systems
• Adhere to all facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• Recent hospital experience required
• Post-cardiac and pediatric recovery experience required
• Previous electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EHR strongly preferred
• Experience stabilizing ICU-level patients in a post-anesthesia setting
