Position Description We are looking for a part‑time phlebotomist to assist with blood draws in a physician's office lab. Must have good interpersonal skills to work in a teaching environment. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential in this full spectrum physician’s office laboratory. This position would need to be available for help on an as‑needed basis, often times with short notice, as well as scheduled days. Primary duties and responsibilities Using technical equipment to safely draw blood from patients Explaining the process of drawing blood clearly to a patient Reassuring and calming patients who might be nervous or scared of the procedure Applying dressings to the wound created by drawing blood Registering the blood and storing it in the correct environment Updating patient records Maintaining an organized and clean work area based on health and safety regulations and the guidelines of the medical institution Answering patient questions regarding collection techniques and offering additional resources on the collection process, if the patient requests them. Pay Starting at $19.00/hr (depending on experience) Benefits This is a clinic position with no nights or weekends. Center for Family Medicine offers a very competitive benefits package for full‑time employees. As an part‑time position, this job would be eligible for limited benefits.
