Registered Nurse

Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing experienced, professional nursing care. This includes assessing and diagnosing the needs of patients, developing individualized nursing plans to meet those needs in coordination with the multi-disciplinary team, providing direct nursing interventions and/or delegating specific nursing tasks to appropriate staff, evaluating the effectiveness of the plan and the care provided, and other duties as assigned. The RN participates as a member of the treatment team at a Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) and will act as charge nurse when assigned. CBHHs are inpatient facilities focused on stabilization, patient education, and discharge planning with the goal of preventing future episodes. Responsibilities Assess and diagnose patient needs; develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing plans. Provide direct nursing interventions or delegate specific tasks to appropriate staff in coordination with the multidisciplinary team. Act as charge nurse when assigned; serve as a key member of the treatment team at a CBHH. Support discharge planning and coordination with community resources. Minimum Qualifications Current licensure or eligible for licensure in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse. Future RNs within six (6) months of graduating and taking the NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply; contingent offers may be made upon successful degree completion and passing NCLEX-RN. Preferred Qualifications Patient care experience within a mental health or behavioral health setting. Experience working with adults in a treatment setting. Experience working in a secure facility. TB documentation is required prior to employment; TB skin testing is not accepted. Eligibility, Scheduling and Compensation (key details) Work Arrangement: Part-Time with rotating shifts; various hours including day, evening, and night shifts. Salary Range: $39.89 - $59.03 hourly.
