Inventory / Materials Specialist I

Job TitleJob Overview:Pay Range: $29.20hr - $34.20hrRequirement/Must Have:Strong working knowledge of inventory management software (ERP/CMMS experience is a plus).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and parts lists to accurately update BOMs.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Engineering, and Procurement.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.High School Diploma or GED.Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel).Responsibilities:Maintain physical organization and cleanliness of the maintenance crib and parts storage area.Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure system accuracy.Identify low-stock items and initiate replenishment orders to central stores.Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams to source high-quality, cost-effective replacement parts.Review and modify Bills of Material (BOMs) to reflect current equipment configurations and hardware requirements.Update technical records to ensure that part numbers, descriptions, and quantities are accurate.Communicate effectively with maintenance technicians and engineers to verify part specifications during updates.Perform Water Spider activities by delivering parts, materials, and tools to the maintenance teams.Analyze issued parts and usage history.Assist in identifying obsolete parts and coordinating their disposal or return.Adhere to all safety protocols and site-specific operational procedures.Nice to Have:2 year degree in Information Systems, IT, or Technology.Skills:Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Inventory Control.Warehouse Management.Maintenance Support.Microsoft Excel.Google Sheets.BOM Management.Data Integrity.Qualification And Education:2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or maintenance support roles.Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):Ability to stand for extended periods.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Ability to navigate industrial work environments safely.
