Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Surgical ICU position requiring CT/compact RN license and Epic charting experience at a Level II Trauma Center.
Details
- Work in the Surgical ICU (SICU) of a short term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required as needed
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of SICU experience required (2 years preferred for submission consideration, or 1.5 years if Level I trauma or travel experience)
- Epic charting experience required
- Trauma Level I and/or Level II experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with IV therapy, arterial line, and central line care/management
- Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
- Experience with ETT and NT suctioning
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- One professional reference required
