Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and hands-on Shift Leader to join our growing Quick Service Restaurant team. This role is ideal for an experienced restaurant supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has a strong background in drive-thru operations .

As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily shift operations, supporting team members, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining operational excellence. You'll lead by example, motivate the team, and help deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service while meeting company standards for quality, cleanliness, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership

• Lead restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
• Supervise, coach, and motivate hourly team members.
• Delegate tasks and ensure efficient shift execution.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Assist with training and onboarding new employees.

Drive-Thru Operations

• Ensure fast, friendly, and accurate drive-thru service.
• Monitor speed of service and order accuracy.
• Support the team during peak meal periods.
• Help maintain smooth traffic flow and guest satisfaction.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.

Restaurant Operations

• Open and close the restaurant following company procedures.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and product consistency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs.
• Complete daily operational checklists and shift reports.

Guest Service

• Deliver exceptional hospitality to every guest.
• Handle customer questions and concerns with professionalism.
• Promote a clean, welcoming, and organized restaurant environment.
• Ensure team members consistently provide outstanding service.

Cash & Operational Controls

• Assist with cash handling, drawer counts, and deposits.
• Follow company cash control and loss prevention procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all operational policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant leadership experience in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or fast-food environment.
• Previous drive-thru management or supervisory experience is required.
• Experience leading high-volume restaurant shifts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with national QSR or drive-thru restaurant brands.
• ServSafe Food Manager or Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Experience with scheduling, inventory, and labor management.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen and drive-thru environment.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.

Compensation & Benefits

• $17.00–$18.00 per hour , based on experience.
