Cloud Solution Architect
McLane Company is seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions that support enterprise business initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native technologies, with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Terraform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.
- Develop cloud architecture strategies aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, operations, and business teams to deliver cloud solutions.
- Establish cloud governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Monitor cloud environments and recommend improvements for performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across cloud projects.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, Cloud Architect, or related role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and cloud operations.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native services, containers, and automation practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud migration and digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
- Relevant cloud certifications (Google Professional Cloud Architect, Terraform Associate, etc.).
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid work schedule.
- Candidates should be able to work on-site in either Austin, TX or Temple, TX as required.
