Job Duties Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients. Recognises the need for and initiates collaboration/communication with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and takes actions to proactively resolve patients needs. Demonstrates commitment to quality and safety, in accordance with established policies and procedures, utilizing evidence-based practice. Participates in evidence-based practice and research projects as applicable. Uses effective and appropriate verbal and non‑verbal communication styles with patients, significant others, visitors, staff and professional colleagues. Coordinates and provides patient and family education throughout treatment course to facilitate an effective transition of care. Functions as a department team member to support unit and hospital goals and objectives. Participates in all phases of the performance improvement process, including organisational and unit‑based patient experience goals. Performs validated technical skills based upon clinical specialty and unit practice. Utilises technology and incorporates technology to optimise alternative modes of care delivery. Demonstrates leadership and team building skills including: teaching and mentoring new colleagues and department interns; delegating on the basis of skills and expertise of team members, acuity and specific needs of the patient, and time availability of team members; providing input as requested for performance appraisals of care delivery team members. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of accredited nursing programme. Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice. Ability to organise and prioritise assignments in the delivery of patient care. Successful completion of additional orientation programmes related to specialty. Attainment and maintenance of unit‑specific competencies. Basic computer skills. American Heart Association Basic Life Support – State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire. • 64,100 – $141,500 annual total cash target pay
• 36.98 – $81.63 per visit point
• 30.82 – $68.03 hourly rate

Annual total cash compensation for this role assumes full‑time employment (40 weekly hours) at full productivity and generally follows the range above. Total cash compensation include earnings from per visit point pay and hourly pay and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labour markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. This role receives two types of compensation depending on the work being performed. USD $42.00 – $45.00 /Hr (Genesis HealthCare).
