We CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Web Hosting Operations Engineer to support the stability, security, and ongoing operation of enterprise web hosting and application infrastructure environments.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on web hosting platforms, vulnerability remediation, application deployments, infrastructure operations, and automation.

The successful candidate will bring strong experience with **Apache, UNIX/Linux environments, networking, and automation**, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work effectively with both technical teams and client stakeholders.

This is a Full-Time, On-Site employment opportunity located in Jacksonville, FL in a Hybrid Model.

Your future duties and responsibilities
* Support the administration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise web hosting and application platform environments.
* Analyze reported infrastructure and application-platform vulnerabilities, assess impact, and develop appropriate remediation plans.
* Coordinate and execute vulnerability remediation activities across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
* Validate remediation activities to confirm vulnerabilities have been successfully addressed without negatively impacting application availability or performance.
* Perform application platform deployments, configuration changes, upgrades, patching, and other operational activities.
* Administer and troubleshoot **Apache web server environments** running on UNIX/Linux platforms.
* Work with networking teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues involving **firewalls, load balancers, connectivity, routing, and related infrastructure components**.
* Develop and maintain scripts and automation to improve the efficiency and reliability of operational processes.
* Utilize technologies such as **Perl, YAML, and other scripting or automation tools** to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
* Troubleshoot complex production and non-production issues and coordinate resolution across application, infrastructure, security, and network teams.
* Partner directly with client stakeholders and technical teams to communicate status, risks, remediation plans, and technical recommendations.
* Manage multiple priorities and technical activities with limited supervision while meeting established delivery timelines and service expectations.
* Maintain appropriate technical and operational documentation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
At least Minimum 5 years of experience supporting web hosting, application infrastructure, middleware, or related enterprise technology environments.
* Strong hands-on experience with Apache Server administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
* Strong working knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating environments.
* Experience identifying, analyzing, and remediating security vulnerabilities within web hosting or application infrastructure environments.
* Understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including firewalls, load balancing, ports, protocols, and network connectivity.
* Experience with scripting and automation technologies such as Perl, YAML, shell scripting, or comparable tools.
* Experience supporting application deployments and operational activities across multiple environments.
* Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to independently manage priorities and deliverables.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $176,300.00.
