A day in the life of a Well Maintenance Technician involves, but is not limited to the following:

• Performing well maintenance and drilling activities to ensure wells remain operable, including well seal repair, pump installation, decommissioning, and well head modifications.
• Performing hands on work while interfacing with management and project personnel, including Bldg. Trades and HAMTC represented employees.
• Executing all aspects of daily work released, including initial planning, questioning attitude, hazard analysis, and training while utilizing hands on skills learned in the well maintenance or drilling trade.
• Executing work in a timely manner and concludes all work release documentation is in accordance with procedures.
• Performing well maintenance activities safely while adhering to quality standards.
• Maintaining compliance with the Washington Administration code, including requirement to have a driller or driller trainee license.
• Maintaining and operate government equipment and usage of material in a responsible, safe, and cost-effective manner.
• Interfacing/communicating on a daily basis with numerous field support groups, including procurement, engineering, waste operations, environmental officers, craft personnel and drilling management.
• Demonstrates the ability to comprehend and resolve day-to day problems.
• Possess the ability to obtain a pump installers license.

Basic Qualifications
*Grade 10: AA/AS or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
*Grade 11: AA/AS or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Working knowledge in well maintenance/drilling equipment, well maintenance means and methods, pump installation in wells, lock and tag processes, and electrical connections.
• Operating knowledge of auger and cable tool drilling/decommissioning, pump setting truck/rig, Department of Transportation Commercial driving license (DOT CDL) as well as knowledge of welding techniques.
• General operating knowledge and experience operating other types of drilling equipment, forklifts, flatbed trucks, trailers, and pick-up trucks is required.
• Preferred knowledge of chemical treatment of filter packs i.e. bio fouling agents to enhance well production.
• A current CDL is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full-time schedule (40 hours per week):

• Grade 10: $69,650 - $111,450
• Grade 11: $76,700 - $122,550

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
