Schedule: Overnight / Early Morning Runs
Overtime: 20 hours of guaranteed overtime weekly

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious CDL-A Truck Driver for recurring container runs between the Port of La Porte and Fort Worth, TX. This position follows a drop-and-hook process , allowing drivers to drop off and pick up containers at designated locations without loading or unloading freight.

This opportunity offers consistent overnight routes, guaranteed overtime, and strong weekly earning potential for qualified drivers.

Job Responsibilities

• Pick up shipping containers at the Port of La Porte during overnight hours.
• Transport containers to designated drop locations in Fort Worth, TX.
• Drop off containers and pick up return containers according to route instructions.
• Return containers to the Port of La Porte and repeat the assigned route.
• Safely operate an automatic-transmission commercial truck.
• Complete required inspections and maintain accurate driving and duty-hour records.
• Follow all DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and company safety procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, deliveries, and any delays or issues.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) .
• Current TWIC card required for port access.
• Experience operating commercial trucks and transporting containers preferred.
• Ability to operate an automatic-transmission truck safely.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and commitment to safety.
• Must be willing to complete a driving test before receiving authorization to operate the assigned truck.

Schedule & Hours of Service

• Overnight and early-morning routes.
• Departures typically around 1:00–2:00 AM, with 4:00 AM departures also possible.
• Routes operate between La Porte and Fort Worth, with recurring return trips.
• Drivers must comply with applicable federal hours-of-service regulations, including daily driving limits and required rest periods.

Pay & Benefits of the Position

• Base Pay: $25.00 per hour.
• Guaranteed Overtime: 20 hours weekly, paid at the applicable overtime rate.
• Advertised Weekly Earnings: Approximately $1,750 with 20 hours of overtime.

Weekly earnings are based on 40 regular hours at $25.00 per hour and 20 overtime hours at $37.50 per hour, assuming all hours are worked and overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate.
