BWE Group, Inc. is looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our growing construction team. This is a hands-on field position supporting civil, utility, and general construction projects.

This is a union position. Candidates must be willing and able to join the applicable union as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Place, spread, level, and finish concrete.
• Finish sidewalks, curbs, pads, slabs, foundations, and other concrete structures.
• Perform broom, smooth, and other specified finishes.
• Set forms and establish proper grades and elevations.
• Use screeds, floats, trowels, edgers, power trowels, saws, vibrators, and other concrete tools.
• Install expansion and control joints.
• Patch and repair existing concrete.
• Assist with concrete demolition and site preparation as needed.
• Read basic plans, measurements, grades, and elevations.
• Work closely with Foremen, Operators, Laborers, and other crew members.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Follow all Company, customer, and job-site safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Previous concrete finishing experience required.
• Experience with civil, utility, roadway, or heavy construction preferred.
• Must be able to independently perform concrete finishing work.
• Must be willing to join the applicable union.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• OSHA 10 preferred.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when project schedules require.
• Ability to travel to project locations as needed.
