Senior Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at DSWD in our Fort Wayne location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax, and financial reporting, with experience serving a diverse client base. This role involves managing client engagements and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other applicable standards. Manage month-end and year-end close processes for clients. Prepare and review complex corporate, partnership returns. Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to clients. Assist with reviews, compilations and bookkeeping for clients. Supervise staff accountants as necessary. Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional service. Stay current on accounting standards, tax laws, and industry trends. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (master’s preferred). CPA certification is preferred. 3+ years of public accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, UltraTax, or similar). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Attributes: Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms. Industry specialization (e.g., real estate, healthcare, construction) is a plus. Strong leadership and team collaboration skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
