Details Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown / Cardiac Telemetry / MS-Tele setting Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:00-16:30) Cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Care for patients pre/post cardiac catheterization, angiogram, and cardiac surgery Management of BiPAP/CPAP, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/PICC line care Blood product administration and heparin protocol management Cardiac drip management (no titration) and procedural sedation monitoring Feeding tube care and isolation precaution/PPE protocols Uses Epic EMR system Floating between sister facilities within the state may be required Requirements Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Stepdown or ICU experience required Epic EMR experience required (hard requirement) Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting Must provide full SSN and DOB for consideration Active professional license required at time of consideration Additional Information Provide cardiac telemetry and PCU-level nursing care including dysrhythmia interpretation and emergency response Must disclose any prior employment history with Providence facilities (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer, as post-offer requests may not be granted Candidates should not contact facility staff directly except for scheduled interviews American Traveler Job ID P-750170.
