Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirement: Approximately 10-11 days per month, including one weekend.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including circulating and monitoring cases.
• Prepare and assist with a variety of invasive procedures, including cardiac, peripheral, and neuro cases.
• Collaborate with team members to provide quality patient care before, during, and after procedures.
• Utilize the GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System for patient monitoring.
• Participate in on-call duties during scheduled weeks, ensuring a prompt response within the defined timeframe.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role, preferably in a cath lab or similar setting.
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
• Ability to circulate cases and monitor hemodynamic parameters.
• Experience with electrophysiology (EP) cases, including ICDs, pacemakers, and ablations is preferred.

Orientation and Training

All new hires will undergo three days of orientation, with the expectation of being able to independently manage cases by the end of the initial week. An experienced nurse will assist during the first call shift to ensure a smooth transition.
