Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for an acute care hospital, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and availability for on-call shifts.

Job Details

• Operating Room unit in a 212-bed acute care hospital,
• Variable 12-hour day shifts with Sunday through Saturday coverage,
• Shift times vary and may include 0630-1900, 0930-2200, or 1030-2300,
• On-call responsibilities required, including weekend and holiday call rotations,
• Weekend shifts required as needed,
• Facility may call off one shift per two-week pay period,
• Uses Epic EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required,
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required, 3 years preferred,
• Experience with surgical procedures relevant to the OR setting preferred,
• BLS certification required,
• ACLS certification preferred,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Pending license not accepted,

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care within a surgical services team,
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs; OR scrubs provided,
• Free parking available onsite,
• Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as needed,
• Minimal RTO accommodated at time of consideration,
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius,
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility,
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
