2nd Shift Material Handler

A Material Handler performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies. Schedule 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday‑Friday. Pay Hourly: $16.00 / hour plus a 10 % shift differential for a total of $17.60 / hour. Duties and Responsibilities Execute foundational warehouse tasks such as packaging, unpackaging, putaway, sorting, staging, picking, shipping, and preparing units for production. Open boxed inventory in the storage area or on the rack and place open boxes on the appropriate shelf. Walk the length of the flow rack, wrap cords neatly and securely, ensuring they are tangle‑free. Assist with labeling, tagging, or color‑coding wrapped cords to aid identification. Consistently meet or surpass daily production and quality goals. Complete required paperwork, forms, or digital records accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, organized workstation. Follow warehouse safety regulations. Perform any other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports. Required Skills and Experience Reliability, adaptability, and dependability. Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to understand and follow directions. Preferred Skills and Experience Previous experience in a high‑volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (e.g., testing and repair), or forward logistics operation. Ability to handle basic issues and refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff. Clerical skills. Time‑management skills. Written and verbal communication skills. Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Warehouse environment. Stand dynamically for long periods. Use hands and fingers for handling, typing, picking, and turning objects. Lift up to 50 pounds. Push and/or pull up to 50 pounds. Reach up and out with hands and arms.
