Assistant Nurse Manager- Cath Lab

Job Summary In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding nursing position, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) role is to assist the Nurse Manager in achieving an environment of excellence in clinical quality, safety, and service. Supports the Vision, Values, Mission, and Strategic Plans of MHS. Functions as a staff nurse and/or relief charge nurse as needed on his/her assigned unit. Assumes a nursing leadership role as delegated by the Nurse Manager. Hours of Work: 8 hrs Days Of Week: M-F Work Shift: Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience. Licensure & Certifications: Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas; Current CPR certification required; National certification in a specialty area or will obtain within one year. Responsibilities Communicate clearly and openly across teams. Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment. Be accountable for performance and continuously seek ways to improve the patient experience. Take initiative for professional growth and contribute to a winning team. Consult and communicate with the Nurse Manager and other leadership. Coordinate hiring, training, evaluation/counseling, and discharge of assigned unit staff. Participate in the planning and implementation of the unit budget. Facilitate coordination of unit-based strategies for Patient Experience initiatives. Assume responsibility and accountability for clinical quality of the unit through routine surveillance, including regulatory compliance readiness, charting/documentation, and clinical aspects review with problem identification and resolution. Coordinate and facilitate unit-based education related to nursing quality care (e.g., Core Measures, Hospital Acquired Conditions, clinical documentation). Coach and mentor staff day‑to‑day, serving as a role model and providing real‑time feedback and counseling to the Nurse Manager. Execute special projects as delegated by leadership.
