Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

Location: USA | Remote Duration: 6 Months Hire Type: Contract

Primary skills: Must Have:

• A Senior engineer with 5+ years of experience in Java, Node.js, JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience with AWS Services like CloudWatch, X-Ray, Dashboards and Alarms
• Experience with Casandra and Redis Cache.
• Create application monitoring dashboard, generate reports (performance, metrics), Log analysis and log dashboards
• Expertise in NewRelic, DataDog etc.
• Experience working on GIT, best coding practices, coding structure
• Strong logging Skills, experience in ELK stack Kibana, Splunk, CloudWatch logs

Nice to Have:

• AWS Architect or DevOps Certification preferred
• Strong monitoring skills, experience in New Relic, Cloud Watch and Grafana.
• Experience supporting tomcat, JBoss and other application servers
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles
• Ability to write quality code, guide internal teams, perform code reviews, and improve the overall quality of work
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to take ownership.
• Should be an excellent independent contributor with a drive to take up initiatives
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, willing to learn new skills.

Soft Skills

• Knows agile development best practices and has scrum exposure
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams
• Fast learner, ability to perform well in ambiguity and with little supervision
• Strong problem-solving abilities

Role & Responsibilities:

• Take complete responsibility for the sprint stories' execution
• Be accountable for the delivery of the tasks in the defined timelines with good quality.
• Follow the processes for project execution and delivery
• Follow agile methodology
• Take ownership of the smooth project delivery
• Understand/define the architecture and discuss the pros-cons of the same with the team
• Involvement in the brainstorming sessions and suggest improvements in the architecture/design.
• Work with other teams leads to getting the architecture/design reviewed.
• Work with the clients and counterparts of the project.
• Keep all the stakeholders updated about the project/task status/risks/issues if there are any.
