Temporary Budget SpecialistLocation: Hinsdale, IL (Hybrid) Position Type: Temporary (3-6+ Months) Pay Rate: $30.00 - $40.00/hour (depending on experience)About the RoleOur client, a well-established organization in the western suburbs of Chicago, is seeking a detail-oriented Budget Specialist to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This role will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and expense analysis while partnering with departmental leaders to ensure accurate financial planning and budget management.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets and forecastsMonitor department spending and identify budget variancesPrepare budget reports, financial analyses, and ad hoc reportingTrack expenditures and reconcile budget accountsSupport month-end and year-end financial processesCollaborate with department managers regarding budget planning and monitoringAnalyze financial data and identify trends or discrepanciesMaintain budget documentation and ensure compliance with company policiesQualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred2+ years of budgeting, financial analysis, accounting, or related experienceStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or PeopleSoft preferredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesBenefitsWhile on assignment, employees may be eligible for healthcare coverage, retirement savings options, paid sick leave where applicable, and access to professional development resources.Pay Transparency: The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - $40.00 per hour.
